Greetings, and welcome to our snowmobile web site!

The Mauricie Tourism bureau in Shawinigan Quebec, decided some time ago, to build a special snowmobile website, to meet the needs of the English speaking riders who come from the US and English Canada, to enjoy our fine snowmobile trails, and snowmobile hospitality. The site is also available in French by pressing the translation button above.

The Tourism bureau wants to give the reader as much solid information as possible, to help him decide when to drive up to the Mauricie to go sledding, and where to stay when he arrives.

Aside from restaurant, motel, rental, and tour guide services available, the bureau wanted to add many interactive features, so that you riders out there, could meet and share 'real' information in a timely fashion.

We have built a web site with a Blogger, a Bulletin Board, a Photo Gallery, a search button, a guest book, and an interactive page. These pages stay up to date becuase everyone in this web community contributes to them.

We have given you all the tools you need to get the latest and best information about how and where to ride in the Mauricie, and we are doing it in English for your benefit.

I would like to extend a hearty 'thank you', to all the good people in the Mauricie Tourism Office, for giving me the opportunity to build this web site. I would especially like to thank three guys in particular; Dennis, owner of the Escapade, Bernard of Motel Safari, and Andre, who runs the tourism office in Shawinigan.

These three men realized the importance of distributing quality information, in a simple website format. My job is to get all the riders and the business owners, to begin posting photos, opinions, trail conditions, and even a few jokes, right here on this web site.

I would also like to thank all the members of Tourism LaMauricie who have sponsored this website, and made it possible. It is the motel and restaurant owners, who have paid for making this web site possible.

For all the readers, I hope you will thank these merchants of the Mauricie, by booking your rooms right away for this winter. Another good way to say thanks, is to make use of the bulletin boards, and other interactive features.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, we are in for an excellent cold and snow filled winter! I can't wait to get the sled out on the open trail!
